ABOUT US

Southside Rockets Basketball Club was founded in 2015, originally based at St Thomas More High School in Westcliff, to help cater for the growing demand for access to basketball outside of school in the Southend, Castle Point and Rochford areas. The foundation of the vibrant basketball scene in our area should be credited to the local programmes that came before us, such as the Southend Scorpions and Southend Swifts (now disbanded).

 

Since then, we have enjoyed a tremendous organic growth thanks to the enduring work ethic and passion of our coaches, the unwavering support of our parents and, most importantly, the tenacity and hunger of our players to bring the vision of the Rockets Basketball movement into reality. From humble beginnings with a single team, we now offer a complete pathway from primary school all the way through to senior basketball.
